Datavideo IEEE 1394 Bi-Directional Format Repeater

The DataVideo Bi-Directional DV Repeater and Hub provides six FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports to add five additional ports for either a PC or Mac system through an available FireWire port. The Hub also lets you share information with other computers to preform a network-like environment. The repeater extends the distance limitations of traditional FireWire connections.

Simple, Easy, Con venient Connectivity

With FireWire technology adding hot-pluggable devices couldn’t be easier. Devices can be connected and disconnected without turning the computer off. Up to 63 FireWire devices can be daisy-chained. The Repeater puts the convenience of FireWire right on the desktop.

Longer Cable Lengths

The FireWire specification allows for a cable length of 15 feet (4.5 meters.) The Repeater extends the length an additional 15 feet.

Fast Data Transfer Rates

FireWire can transmit data at a rate up to 400 Mbits/sec – equivalent to 50 Mb/sec.

LED Indicators

Each port contains it own LED indicator which lets you know if power is current on that particular port.

Bus-powered or Self-powered

This unit can be powered either from the host computer or by its own DC connector.
