Sony Alpha a7S III Mirrorless Digital Camera

With the Sony A7S III, Sony’s most famed low light camera upgrades. Like its predecessor the camera is a has a Full frame 12.1 MP Exmor RS BSI CMOS sensor that is specifically designed for low light situations. Combined with a BIONZ XR Image Processor you have some of the clearest low light images possible. It also means you have a vast ISO range from ISO 80-102400 which is expandable up to 40-409600. The unique sensor and processor combo is able to make a vast dynamic range. For pictures, this is 14 stops and 15 stops for video. Fast-moving objects are still clickable with 10 fps continuous shooting up to 1000 uncompressed raw files.

The A7S III is a video-making titan with resolutions up to 4K at 120 fps with a full 1:1 pixel readout and no pixel binning. And that too with internal 10 bit 4:2:2 sampling. This high-speed recording enables a 4x and 5x slow-motion film recording at 30 fps or 34 fps. With 240 fps recording on Full HD 1080p, this goes even further. The Fast Hybrid AF system has 759 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points. This gives you swift focusing even in conditions as dark as -6 EV. The A7S III also has a 5.5-stop effective 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization that reduces camera shake from 5 angles. For the first time ever, an A7 series camera has gotten a side-opening 3.0″ 1.44m-dot vari-angle screen for viewing for easy viewing from difficult angles. This LCD is also a touchscreen for easy navigation.
