It uses a variable f/4.5-5.6 maximum aperture to keep size and weight to a minimum while it incorporates various specialized elements to minimize aberrations and improve sharpness and clarity. Also, it has an internal focus mechanism that helps speed up autofocus performance to the minimum focus distance of 9.8″. Additionally, it has a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh and it has a front filter diameter of 77mm.
