FUJIFILM‘s FinePix JZ100 Digital Camera is a sleek and compact point-and-shoot with a number of good things going for it. For starters, the JZ100 sports 14.0Mp of resolution, which makes for beautifully detailed images that look great on an HDTV or as poster-size prints. Additionally, the camera boasts a number of modes designed to make your shooting easier and more successful.
When it comes down the basic tools of the JZ100 you’ll find a 2.7″ LCD display for composition, review, and menu navigation. A Fujinon 8x optical zoom lens with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 25-200mm gives you tremendous latitude to shoot any subject from super-close-up to those far-off in the distance. Other features that help the camera get the job done include image stabilization, an ISO range of 100-3200, and of course, the ability to record to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
Shooting modes on the JZ100 range from the expected, like face detection to the unexpected, such as the One Touch Movie Recording Button. That being said, you’ll also find scene modes, like Portrait, Landscape, Macro and the like. Tracking Auto Focus helps you to capture fast moving subjects, while Natural Light & With Flash capture dual images, allowing you to keep both or choose the one you like best. Of course, self timer, white balance, AF/AE Lock, and framing guidelines are standard on the JZ100 as well.
