The DataVideo TLM-70DV is a 7-inch diagonal LCD monitor for location and studio applications. It accepts FireWire and Composite Video plus 2 channels of audio can be input. This monitor converts digital video to analog for output and visa versa. Accessory speakers are included and attach along the side of the monitor. A built-in bracket can be used as a table stand. It can be attached to a video camera with a universal 1/4-20 size mounting point.
FireWire Input and Converted Output
The TLM-70 has a few very interesting features in that it can convert digital inputs and output analog, and visa versa. You can take in a Composite Video signal (via RCA connector) and output a converted IEEE1394 FireWire signal. Yo can take in a FireWire signal and output composite.
Little Speakers with Big Sound
Lots of field monitors have a small speaker enclosed in the display’s plastic housing but the TLM-70 is different. The monitor comes with a pair of high quality speakers that can attach to the side of the monitor or you can place them anywhere in the room given adequate speaker cable.
NTSC and PAL Systems
The Datavideo monitor can display both NTSC and PAL system video formats. Using the dip-switch panel and the manual you can configure the monitor to play video almost anywhere in the world.
Stand Alone, Wall Mount or Camera Mount
This is one very flexible monitor. Its small enough to be packed for use in the field. It has a bracket on its reverse side that can be used for hanging on a wall or sitting on a table. The monitor even has a 1/4-20 mounting point for attaching an accessory arm for camera mounting or it can be mounted on a tripod.
